Our Design Process
IDG is involved in all aspects of the design process, from planning, to conceptual, to preliminary, to final design. We typically start by meeting with the client on site to discuss their project needs. We then work with the client to develop a project scope and deliverables and schedule.
IDG uses the latest in design software. Our designers use both Revit and Autocad 3D design software. Our engineers use Risa 3D finite element design and Enercalc software. IDG also has the latest in 3D laser scanning technology with uses Leica True View and Recap for viewing and extracting point cloud models.

IDG was built around a team of seasoned structural designers with a combined industry experience of over 100 years. Our diverse experience includes power, pet food, industrial, agricultural, mining and biofuel. Many of our clients are repeat customers that we have had the experience working with throughout our history.
